Samsung Will launch a 600 Million Pixel Image Sensor

With the help of Samsung's ISOCELL HM1 / HMX sensor, some mobile phones have already been equipped with a 108-megapixel camera, which brings new possibilities for taking pictures/photography. Earlier news said that Samsung is developing a 150MP Nonacell image sensor, but Samsung LSI Executive Vice President Yongin Park introduced in the latest article published on the official website that they are preparing to develop 600 million pixels (600MP) sensor products, directly breaking the human eye limit (about 500 million Pixels)!

Similar to the current nine-in-one technology of the 108-megapixel sensor, at the scale of 600 million pixels, Samsung must also use multi-pixel synthesis technology to simulate the outsole and improve the quality of the film. In addition, in the article, Yongin Park also mentioned Samsung LSI's sensors that can capture light waves outside the human eye (450nm to 750nm), such as ultraviolet sensors can be used to detect skin cancer, and infrared sensors are used for industrial quality control. Samsung also said that 60 million pixel sensors will be invested in areas such as auto-driving, the Internet of Things, and drones.
